For this last and final project we were given the choice between many techniques and skills that we could use to produce a photo. The ideas that I went with were: highlighting the color of certain regions in an image using Photoshop and deliberately unfocusing lights to create what is often referred to as bokeh. In both instances I feel I was successful in creating the desired effect and learned two new interesting techniques because of this.
Furthermore, three things that I learned in my explorations throughout the course of this class were...
1) How to use the settings on a camera to adjust for the desired lighting. These include how Shutter Speed, Aperture, and ISO influence the outcome of a photo.
2) How to do basic editing in Photoshop such as selecting a subject, cropping, blend tools, and how to batch edit.
3) Using perspective and depth of field to make creative photos and turn mundane objects or scenes into interesting compostions.
